BEIJING – An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted Chiapas, Mexico at 0933 GMT on Wednesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 123.5 km, was initially determined to be at 16.16 degrees north latitude and 93.52 degrees west longitude.
